En sann glede å lese, fra begynnelse til slutt (lite unntak for ganske grafisk tortur underveis, men såpass må man vel forvente av infernoet). Oversettelsen e så god, og fotnotan e gull, enten man e en særdeles overfladisk leser eller man faktisk bryr sæ om politiske intriger i Italia og deromkring på 12-/1300-tallet (det hold litt hardt for min del, så æ lot mæ ikke plage av at æ ikke bestandig hang med i vennskap og fiendskap). Ga mæ lyst til å lese Ovids Metamorfoser, og Aeniden, så det kan fort balle på sæ om man ikke e forsiktig (æ tror ikke æ vil bli den typen nerd).

11TH DAY OF OCTOBER Last night my mother lost the child she carrief, the fifth I have seen die without ever having a chance to live. If God intends for me to be her last, I wish He would stop quickening her and then taking the baby away. She mourns so.
