A three-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker offers insight into his methods as an artist, discussing his long-time commitment to the practice of Transcendental Meditation, his metaphorical creative process, and the ways in which he interacts with his surrounding world.

for Lynch fans

A short and airy book. Short thoughts and short stories on filmmaking are flooded over by the beating drum of “everyone should do transcendental meditation”. Mildly interesting as a quick read if you've watched at least a few of Lynch's films, and admirable for its goal of ultimately promoting human creativity, happiness, and (unironically) world peace, but probably not that insightful for general public.
