Omne trium perfectum

The Hierarchy still call me Vis Telimus. Still hail me as Catenicus. They still, as one, believe they know who I am.

But with all that has happened-with what I fear is coming-I am not sure it matters anymore.

Omne trium perfectum

The Hierarchy still call me Vis Telimus. Still hail me as Catenicus. They still, as one, believe they know who I am.

But with all that has happened-with what I fear is coming-I am not sure it matters anymore.

I am no longer one. I won the ludicium and lost everything- and now, impossibly, the ancient device beyond the Labyrinth has replicated me across three separate worlds. A different version of myself in each of Obiteum, Luceum, and Res. Three different bodies, three different lives. I have to hide; fight; play politics. I have to train; trust; lie. I have to kill; heal; prove myself again, and again, and again.

I am loved, and hated, and entirely alone.

Above all, though, I need to find answers before it's too late. To understand the nature of what has happened to me and why.

I need to find a way to stop the coming Cataclysm, because if all I have learned is true, I may be the only one who can.

The Cataclysm is approaching and Vis Telimus does things to prevent it

4.5 stars

Content warning This review will contain some small spoilers regarding the end of the Will of the many. If you enjoyed the will of the many then you'll enjoy this one as well

The strength of the few, picks up the story right where the will of the many left of. And the revelations at the end of the will of the many is dealt with really well. This books feels more like the classical fantasy book to me in large part to how Luceum works. Res and Obiteum are more Science fantasy coded in my mind.

It's interesting to see how the different copies of Vis in the different worlds evolve and become three different persons. The world building is still fantastic and the expanded universe is really interesting to explore and the characters are developed well. The story suffer a little bit with being the second book in an ongoing story by having some plot lines being mostly setup for the third book, especially the Res story line.

All in all I'd recommend this book and series to everyone that enjoyes fantasy or science fiction books.
